ABOUT THE WINERY:
Named after the mulberry trees that grow on the estate, Tenuta Canto alla Moraia is based in Colli Aretini of Tuscany, with 11ha of vines, all renewed in 2002. Certified organic in 2009, they embarked further on a path of making wine in harmony with nature, and have begun practicing biodynamic winemaking as well. Little to no mechanization is used in the production process with horses ploughing the soil and using geese for cleaning the vineyards. Once hand-picked and sorted the grapes are usually destemmed and crushed, then undergo a slow fermentation in stainless steel, followed by aging up to three years in tonneau.
