Wine of the Sea was a standout feature during our recent “Nautical Night” themed dinner at The Farms Golf Club. Our members were thoroughly impressed with the exquisite wines offered by Wine of the Sea. The maritime influence in each bottle added a delightful twist to our evening, perfectly complementing the coastal-inspired cuisine.

The feedback from our members was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the quality of the wines. It’s not often that we come across a brand that manages to surprise and delight even our most discerning members, but Wine of the Sea exceeded expectations.

We highly recommend Wine of the Sea for any occasion, especially those looking to add a touch of the ocean’s elegance to their event. We look forward to featuring them again in the future.

PLASTIC POLUTION CHARITY DINNER MAY 24

We wanted to express our enormous gratitude to you and the rest of the BZ team for the sublime Wine of the Sea donation for Plastic Pollution Coalition’s annual gala event last year. We had thanked David and Sophie for the BZ Consortium’s generosity immediately following the event as they had been our only points of contact. We cannot overstate how much effusive praise we heard all evening, and then many times afterward, of your wines. We and our guests loved it. Our guests included Chef Alice Waters, Senator Alex Padilla, Reverend Lennox Yearwood, Singer Antonique Smith, Comedienne Paula Poundstone, Actress Rebecca deMornay, Jeff Franklin (creator of Full House and Fuller House), Jackson Browne, John Legend’s manager Ty Stiklorius and many more notables.

Our annual event, the Magnificent May Dinner, is all about bringing our most valuable supporters together to share the work we are doing to move the world toward ending plastic pollution. Wine in glass bottles, aged in the Aegean, packaged thoughtfully in paper and cardboard with beautiful graphic design, resonates wonderfully with our community and our values. Over the many years we have held this event, we have never heard such acclaim for the wine we served. Hands down these were simply the most excellent wines!

We wanted to make sure to let you and your colleagues know how grateful we are now that we are directly in touch. Also, we would be happy to provide an in-kind donation acknowledgement for last year’s donation if you could share with us the approximate value.

A KIDS PLACE CHARITY TAMPA BAY

On behalf of the Board of Directors and the Children we serve, thank you for your support of A Kid’s Place Fostering Hope Black Tie Gala presented by Homes by WestBay! Your donation in the amount of $100 enables us to give foster children the love and care they so desperately need. Children in foster care have been traumatized, and their first need is healing. Because of your generosity, that healing can take place in the safety and security of a loving home at A Kid’s Place.

The Motor Enclave was a perfect backdrop to celebrate our Fostering Hope Gala! An evening of decadent food, drinks, dancing, thrill rides and enjoying new and old friends, was an incredible way to support children in foster care. The silent and live auctions provided plenty of friendly competition between friends, and guests giving from their hearts raised a record-breaking amount for our children.
Because of your generosity, we exceeded our expectations and netted over $690,000! Thank you for joining us and helping to make a HUGE impact on the lives of the children living at A Kid’s Place!

Tasting review: West Bend Country Club – Milwaukee WI

We recently hosted a Wine of the Sea tasting at our golf club and the response was over the top from our guests. The look of these bottles is something from an old shipwreck, delivering a huge wow-factor on appearance alone. We poured several wines during the tasting and all received great reviews. Zarko and his team created a very fun and knowledgeable event all around, with display materials and videos of the aging process; a much better show than just tending a table and pouring wine. BEFORE THE SEA

INTRODUCING WINE OF THE SEA - BEFORE THE SEA

Wines selected for submersion are among the world’s finest even before entering the Adriatic, but not every fine wine is made to be submerged. Each wine selected fits a specific set of characteristics that make it a qualified candidate for this aging process.

Each bottle is equipped with a special composite cork and sealed with two layers of wax ensuring that the bottles allow nothing to enter them while submerged.

UNDER THE SEA

THE STAGE THAT GIVES THE WINE ITS NAME

The bottles are placed 100-feet below the water’s surface. The conditions at these depths make nature’s greatest wine cellar.

Temperatures are consistently cool
Zero light from the sun is able to reach the bottles
Aging is intensified and accelerated under tremendous pressure
Waves keep the bottles in motion, forcing molecular breakdown for a constant smoothing of the wine

Each bottle spends a minimum of one year under water, depending on what variety of wine is submerged. Some bottles are left to age for as many as two years.
